Mark Vander Doelen
Physiotherapist

Mark is originally from Milton, Ontario. He relocated to Nova Scotia to pursue a career in physiotherapy and is now a proud member of the Renew Health team.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education with honors from Wilfrid Laurier University. He completed his Masters of Physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie University in September 2020. His approach to physiotherapy emphasizes physical activity and patient education, promoting an active lifestyle. Mark's goal is to help clients manage their injuries, move better and teach them how to stay active even during periods of injury or limitation.
Mark works closely with his clients to understand their unique issues and goals, developing personalized treatment plans to help them achieve their objectives, no matter how big or small. In addition to exercise and education, Mark often complements treatment plans with hands-on techniques (Manual Therapy) to provide a comprehensive approach to care.
With a background in sports and exercise, Mark has experience playing and training for football, hockey, soccer, and rugby. He played football at the university level during his time at Wilfrid Laurier University. He continues his passion for football by coaching with Football Nova Scotia and the Mount Allison University Mounties Football team. When he's not at the clinic or coaching, Mark can be found at the gym, hiking with his partner and dog Sunny, playing golf, or relaxing with some video games at home.
